Hanover Park Village History

Hanover Park boasts a rich history, similar to the hard-working, community legacy that Angelo Caputo’s Fresh Markets has cultivated.
The area was once known as Ontarioville, which is now a neighborhood within the village. Incorporated in 1958, the village was once only around one square mile and had a population of 305 people. By the late 1960’s, 705 acres of land was annexed, spurring population growth, which today is around 37,000.Hanover Park has a proud and expansive community of local businesses, from scientific equipment manufacturers to hardware assembly and distribution providers.
There are also many local attractions for visitors like village events, concerts, and recreational options such as hiking, fishing, and picnicking in the many park districts and forest preserves that feed into the village.

Directions

Angelo Caputo’s is easy to find in Hanover Park, located on the south end of the village along Route 20 (W. Lake St.) We are just a few miles from main thoroughfares like I-355, I-290, and Route 59.Visit us from the south (Carol Stream) with a quick trip north on Country Farm Rd. to Glenbrook Blvd. You can connect further south off of Route 64.
From the north (Hoffman Estates), drive south on Barrington Rd. to W. Lake St. Route 58 (Golf Rd.) and I-90 both connect.
Driving in from the west (Schaumburg, Roselle, Itasca)? From I-290 and I-355, Route 390 is available all the way to W. Lake St. You can also take Roselle Rd. south to Central Ave., Gary Ave. to W. Lake St.
From the east (Bartlett, Streamwood), Route 59 is popular choice for travel and meets up with Stearns Rd., which connects to Greenbrook Blvd.
