Creamy Asparagus Fettuccine

  • 2 3/4 Tbsp butter or margarine.
  • 4 Tbsp chopped green onions , chopped.
  • 1 tsp garlic
  • 1/2 Cup almonds , ground.
  • 1 Cup cream
  • 1 1/4 Tbsp parsley , chopped.
  • 2 tsp basil
  • 4 Tbsp finely. grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3/4 Lb canned asparagus cuts and tips , drained.
  • 1/2 Lb mixed green and white. fettuccine pasta , cooked.
Melt butter in a heavy nonstick skillet. Add spring onions, garlic, ground almonds, and cook, stirring, for 3 minutes. Add cream, parsley, basil, Parmesan and asparagus. Heat through gently. Spoon sauce over pasta and serve.
