We offer All Natural Chickens from Perdue®
Angelo Caputo's is proud to feature the Perdue® brand of quality, fresh, natural chicken products. Like our company, the Perdue Company is also a family business with a proud tradition.
Starting in 1920, the year that their son Frank was born, Arthur W. Perdue and his wife Pearl founded a backyard “table egg” business at their home in Salisbury, MD. Five years later, Arthur built the company's first hatchery, and began selling layer chicks to farmers instead of table eggs. Their son Frank grew up learning to tend to the chickens.

Today, Perdue's corporate office in Salisbury, Md., is across the street from the Perdue family farm, where everything began. The farm is a constant reminder of the company's heritage. Those values – quality, integrity, trust and teamwork – are shared by the more than 20,000 associates who work at Perdue facilities and the 7,500 farm families who raise Perdue chickens and sell grain to Perdue.
Why are Purdue® Chickens Special?
Perdue chickens are all natural. They are allowed to roam in state-of-the-art housing that protects them from the elements, extreme temperatures, wild animals and disease. They are free to eat and drink at will a special diet of pure well water, yellow corn, soybean meal, marigolds, vitamins and mineral supplements. This special diet helps maintain their natural yellow skin color. Golden-yellow skin is your assurance of a healthy and well-fed Perdue chicken.
Perdue chickens are never given any hormones, steroids, or growth-promoting antibiotics. The result for you is a chicken that's naturally meaty.
PERDUE® products antibiotic free.
All PERDUE® products are 100% free of antibiotics. This is assured by Perdue's own strict control over every aspect of production, which includes the manufacturing of their own feed and weekly audits of their producers' farms. Adherence to FDA/USDA requirements and testing also ensures that their animals are pristine.
Are Perdue® products gluten-free?
Yes. Many PERDUE® products are free of gluten. Perdue chickens, chicken parts, and turkeys are all gluten-free. These are sold fresh as well as frozen and some are flavored with seasonings...
